A few weeks ago, I asked you to take a survey to let me know what you think of History And Other Thoughts. Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to fill in it. I really appreciate all your support and feedback.
It's now time to share the results. How are they changing this blog? Well, not much. As it turns out, you seem to be mostly pleased with the blog as it is. Posts that I thought weren't much liked, such as "Historical Reads" are instead quite popular.
I was also surprised to find out not many of you care about movie reviews. This was surprising because, in a past survey, quite a few thought I should start reviewing my favourite (and not so favourite) historical movies. So, I guess, either I got a lot of new readers who aren't into them, or my reviews are really bad! If it's the latter, please, let me know how I can improve them. In any case, I'll still write some, but less often.
Next up, book reviews. Most of you are interested in historical fiction novels, biographies, and non-fiction history books. So, from on, I'll review more of those. A few of you also want me to keep reviewing books about mental illnesses and other self-help issues, which I'll do, albeit less often. But not many care about books on finance, business, or social media, so I won't review them anymore.
Instead, most of you are interested in the history of Great Britain, France, and the rest of Europe in the 18th and 19th century, so I'll focus more on these topics. I'll still write about other centuries and countries as well, but not as often.
